• Your favorite hotel chain is probably also in the area. Some of the hotels on Tunnel Road in Asheville are a very short drive to downtown and are near numerous restaurants and Asheville Mall. There are other Tunnel Road hotels that often cost less and are near restaurants, but are several miles farther from downtown. The hotels on Biltmore Avenue and some of the hotels on Hendersonville Road will put you near Biltmore Mansion and nearby shops and a fairly short drive to downtown. From downtown Asheville, it's just a 15 minute drive on 19/23 (Future I-26) to Weaverville and Avalon Grove.
